When it comes to doughnuts, Randy’s goes big.
Earlier this year, it repainted its 30-foot doughnut marquee bright yellow at its original Inglewood location in honor of the LA Rams Super Bowl appearance.
Now, ahead of National Donut Day on June 7 (who knew?), the iconic South Bay shop announced today it is also flexing its social media muscle.
Between now and June 7, a photo posted with both hashtags #RandysDonutsLA and #NationalDonutDay on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook enters you in a drawing to win the grand prize:
Free Randy’s dozen classic doughnut every week for a year. That’s 624 Randy’s doughnuts. It’s uncertain if you need to visit the big doughnut in the sky each week to pick up your order or if you can take the prize all at once.
Ten runners-up will receive $100-in-value doughnut parties and 50 third-place winners will each receive classic dozens.
And, if you’re not really into the whole social media thing, you’re still a winner.
Randy’s invites you on National Donut Day (that’s June 7!) to stop by any one of their four locations in Inglewood, El Segundo, Century City or Hollywood. On June 7, from 6 a.m. to noon, each visitor receives four glazed donut rounds … while supplies last.
“We want to celebrate National Donut Day by giving back to our customers who’ve visited us repeatedly over decades and helped make us a pop-culture icon,” said Mark Kelegian, president of Randy’s Donuts.
“Our beloved fans all stop to snap photos outside our landmark shops, and now they’ll be rewarded by sharing the love and posting them,” he said.
